I practically never use the Tallgeese and I still can't get a hang of boost dash cancelling without going into the vernier first. From the GEV move list: Super Vernier Abilites: - Unlike other units, Tallgeese III has a special movement system for itself. It is activated via one press of the c button. This is called super Vernier. It essentially has the same properties of a BDC in this game, except several differences. - Each SV (aside from down, obviously) brings Tallgeese III a bit higher in the air. - Depending on the direction inputted, the direction Tallgeese III SVs to will be different. Note that unlike the previous game, Tallgeese III does not SV with neutral direction input. - If you want to consecutively SV, you must return the direction/lever back to neutral first before the second SV, even if you are SV-ing towards the same direction. - In addition to the special SV system, Tallgeese III can also BD regularly like other units. - If you input a direction + c button twice (like a regular BDC), Tallgeese III will SV and then return to a regular BD. This wastes a lot of boost, so it is not a recommended way to get regular BD. - You can use the following methods to directly go into a regular BD instead of cancelling from a SV ...
